The Layout area

Layout areas allow you to create basic page layouts.

A Layout area can only be placed in the red initial page container. Layout areas also add semantic markup such as <main> and <aside> sections to the page.

Layout areas generate empty containers, where you can place further elements into. The color of the container tells you which elements are compatible. Containers generated by Layout areas are either blue, which means you can place basic or advanced content elements into it, or orange, which means you must place a Layout row into this first before you can add content elements.

This page demonstrates a grid layout created using various Layout area elements. To see the layout grid on this page, you need to log in first.
